meowfest is Looking for Social Media & Content Coordinator Full Time

We are looking to welcome a Social Media and Content Coordinator to join our cat-loving team for the summer!

Reporting to the meowfest Event Manager and occasionally collaborating other team members, you will be:

– Strategically creating, sourcing and scheduling social media content across all of meowfest’s social media channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook).

– Responding to comments and direct messages on all of meowfest’s social media channels, answering questions and resolving concerns in a compassionate and timely manner.

– Composing copy for meowfest newsletters, website, and ads.

– Managing and creating content for the meowfest blog.

– Doing influencer outreach.

You are:

– Obsessed with social media and staying on top of the latest trends.

– An organized self-starter and multitasker who is able to comfortably manage your own deadlines.

– An excellent communicator, in written and spoken English.

– An out-of-the-box thinker who isn’t afraid to bring your creative ideas to life!

– A cat lover and avid supporter of animal rescue.

The necessary stuff:

– Minimum 2 years experience in social media management, with a proven track record of success working with various social media platforms.

– Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or Business (or equivalent experience).

– Minimum 2 years experience in copywriting, and able to provide 3-4 copywriting samples (e.g. newsletters, ads, blog articles, or landing pages).

– Proficiency using Squarespace, or similar website-building platform(s).

– 4 to 12 hours per week, depending on need, with schedule flexibility.

– Able to start April 25th, 2023.

– Able to BYOD (bring your own device).

– Photography, video production or other content creation skills are an asset.
