We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified chartered/certified accountant to join our central finance team. The Central Finance Manager is a key accounting position in our management reporting team, providing financial control of c£40m of costs of the central functions of John Menzies, a FTSE listed public limited company.

The job holder will provide regular financial and business support to senior management, and be responsible for the work and development of an accounting assistant and the preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts. The role will involve exposure to senior business leaders within the group and to external auditors.

Key additional responsibilities:

• The timely and accurate preparation of the monthly management accounts for the central support functions
• Preparation of forecasts and budgets for central support functions
• Management of the accounting for group’s insurance policies and control over claim settlement payments.
• Preparation of monthly and year end banking and treasury journals for group reporting
