Python Software Developer

MentorWorks is looking for a talented, friendly, and thoughtful Python Software Developer to join us in scaling our technical platforms.

You’ll be growing various Python-based libraries, microservices, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating closely with other colleagues on our design and engineering team. You’ll contribute to the product-development process, developing beautiful, intuitive digital experiences for our end users on scalable back-end architectures.
Some things about you…

• You have developed a microservice or API and deployed it to the cloud using “serverless” techniques.

• You’ve been building Python-based backends using Flask and/or Django professionally for at least 3 years.

• You have experience with testing frameworks such as coverage and unittest.

• You are comfortable prototyping in tools like Jupyter and Colab.

• You are familiar with BaaS providers like Google’s Firebase or Amazon’s Amplify.

• CI/CD is a non-negotiable part of your development workflow.

• You can communicate technical concepts to colleagues in various roles within the organization, both technical and non-technical.

• You have experience working in a startup environment.

It would be fantastic if…

• You are familiar with integrating with solutions from credit bureaus like TransUnion and Experian.

• You are familiar with modern information security and user accessibility requirements.

• You currently live in the Greater Boston area.
