Mentor Walks Ltd is Looking for EVENT COORDINATOR (REMOTE & FLEXIBLE) Full Time

Calling all event superstars, to join us and be part of Mentor Walks as we expand into Canada! In six years we’ve helped more than 7,000 aspiring women across Asia Pacific find female leaders in their city to connect with through mentoring, and in 2023 we are expanding to Canada to reach even more women. We’re looking for an Event Coordinator on the ground in Vancouver to make this happen.

This role is for you if you know what it takes to run the best event experience, and have a drive to support women in their careers. You’re also a connector, have outstanding communication skills and can troubleshoot on your feet. This is a remote part time contractor role with hours upfront to help us launch in April, followed by designated hours to run each bi-monthly event. As all our Event Coordinators do, this role can be done in and around your current job.

Preferred skills:

• Have run professional or community led events previously
• Your tapped into women’s careers, networks and needs in Vancouver
• Outstanding attention to detail – you’re on the ball and being prompt is top of your list
• An outstanding communicator who can communicate professionally at an executive level
• Good at making clear decisions, either planned or in the moment
• You’re process driven, hands on and can do the administrative work to run each event
• Can commit to 9 hours per event, including attending and running the in-person walk which occur every 2 months

Most of all you are:

• Proactive – it’s important you take initiative, you’re a ‘DIY’ kind of person
• Passionate about women’s equality, and believe good women help other good women succeed
• Energetic to work autonomously to meet your tasks and deadlines.
