Mentor Nation Group is a Birmingham based parent company to a group of mentoring and social impact companies, including the UK’s leading mentoring service. We provide highly skilled mentors on a supply basis to deliver our award-winning mentoring programme for organisations such as Local Authorities, Children Trusts, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Police, Corporates, and private services to Parents & Carers.

We are now training the new generation of Youth Mentors to deliver online and face to face flexible (casual/part-time) mentoring to young people at our clients’ locations or from the comfort of their own homes. We are currently registering bank staff for up-and-coming mentoring assignments and seeking people who are driven and motivated by the opportunities to impact and empower others.

As a Youth Mentor, the purpose of your job role is to build sustainable, trusting relationships with mentees that encourages them to dream big, do well in education, develop life skills and unlock their full potential. The key responsibilities of this job role will include:

• Discussing aims and goals
• Creating actions plans
• Writing feedback reports to share progress
• Devising strategies that promote and boost self-confidence, self-awareness and self-accountability
• Independently working with a cohort of mentees
• Liaising with other professionals and working as a team

To be successful in your application, you will have previous experience of successfully working with children. Holding a degree or Mentoring qualifications is advantageous, but candidates without, but who have significant and relevant experience of working with children and young people (Education, Health and Social Care, Community or Justice Service) will be encouraged to apply.
