Are you an experienced Software Engineer in Test who is passionate about building wonderful user experiences used by millions of people around the world?

We’re looking for our first Automation Tester to join our established engineering team.
The work of you and your teams will be shown to hundreds of thousands of people around the world every day and will help major companies make decisions about their referral strategies. We are looking for your help to ensure that the product we deliver is of a high quality and reliable.

What the job is all about:

• You will be a champion of quality in our engineering team. You’ll be helping drive a quality first mindset throughout the engineering team with your QA peers
• You will be the first dedicated automation tester in our team. You will be responsible for shaping the future of our automated testing capability
• You’ll be responsible for working with our existing QA team to prioritise what should (or shouldn’t) be tested via automation
• We don’t expect you to write every test alone – testing is a shared responsibility across our engineering and QA team and we’ll be looking for you to train and guide the team on automation best practices
• You’ll be working as part of a product team who are focussed on solving challenges for our customers and clients.

Our automation testing stack is at any early stage. We use TestCafe (based on javascript) but experience with equivalent technologies is welcome. We can provide training on javascript if you know other languages.

How we deliver & test:

• Our team deliver software constantly – multiple times a week with ambition to significantly increase that to multiple times a day
• We love pair testing and embrace “shift-left” testing too
• Our QA team are not “gate keepers” but part of the product delivery team

We’d love you to have an opinion on user experience, on product direction and how to make the most of technical problems.

Requirements:
You should apply if you:

• Have 3+ years of commercial automation testing experience
• Have a great undergraduate degree in CS or STEM, or equivalent experience
• Have the right to work in the UK

We would love candidates who apply to be able to demonstrate:

• Comfort with taking a product from MVP to MLP (Minimum Loveable Product), and iterating continuously
• Proven track record of delivering commercially viable software
• Experience of making difficult trade offs between perfection and viability.

Remote
We welcome remote Mentioneers. The majority of our team work a hybrid week: 2 days in Vauxhall, London and 3 days remote. We welcome those who are looking for more flexibility as well as those looking to be in the office more regularly.
