Position Summary:

The Representative Payee Program Manager is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day functions of the Representative Payee Program which manages SSD/SSI funds for clients with mental illness. This position will complete required payee s, assist with the reconciliation of the Representative Payee finances, and oversee the bookkeeping for the program. The manager will support the Program Coordinator I and Program Coordinator II positions. This is a part-time position and will work 20 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

• Provide support to Program Coordinator I and Program Coordinator II positions
• Assess all incoming referrals for appropriateness in the Representative Payee Program
• Forward all necessary intake paperwork to the Social Security Administration
• Assist with the monthly reconciliation of the Representative Payee account
• Complete Payee s and submit to Social Security Administration
• Assist with gathering necessary documentation for audits
• Monitor QuickBooks to ensure that client accounts are accurate and in good standing
• Approve all checks to be cut to vendors through Mineral Tree
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information
• Attend all program and staff meetings as required
• Work with Chief Program Officer to evaluate program and make changes to program as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Experience with QuickBooks and Excel is required
• Experience with Mineral Tree or other bill paying system is required
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail oriented, and strong time management skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Flexible and able to adapt to unexpected situations
• Able to work daytime hours, Monday through Friday

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32,000.00 – $37,000.00 per year
