Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division Hiring for Computer Software Specialist – IVR Developer Job at Memphis, TN Full Time

We’re looking for an innovative developer with experience building enterprise user interface platforms to join the MLGW Information Services team!

The MLGW Information Services department is looking for an IVR specialist/developer to offer a better customer self-service experience. The team is responsible for developing applications and custom reports and supporting MLGW’s call center applications to streamline their processes using the Genesys PureConnect platform. The specialist will also be responsible for building and maintaining the new features (dashboards, predictive features) and implementing/supporting third party solutions.

As a developer on the team, you will be engaged in the design and rapid development of the applications for our internal and external customers. This software specialist position will make key contributions to the design, development and implementation of secure, reliable, scalable and high performing features and functionality.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology

• Experience with public and internal facing platforms, project management methodology, implementing/integrating new software solutions, communication/documentation skills

• Database: Oracle and SQL Server, MySQL

• Web Development: HTML, PHP, XML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, SOAP/REST API, JSON

• Applications Programming: C++, Visual Basic, .Net platform, JAVA, SQL, Crystal Reports

• Desktop Support: Windows Desktop operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management tool, Visio, desktop management, thin-client PCs, tablet/mobile devices

• Interactive Voice Response: Experience with IVR, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), IVR call flow design and development. Demonstrated ability with Contact Center software such as: Genesys PureConnect IVR / Contact Center Solutions (including Handler, IC Business Manager, Interaction Administrator, Interaction Attendant) VOIP and Customer Care Experience.
