The purpose of the Software Engineer position is to design, create, implement and support a wide variety of business software solutions to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization, create competitive services and provide continuous refinement of internally developed software solutions, interfaces and reports. This role would generally not have budgetary responsibility, but decisions may affect the services or products. This role requires regular analysis of data and the ability to meet interpersonal, analytical and organizational demands.

With moderate discretion, the key responsibilities of the Software Engineer include developing business solutions based on design specifications, designing, creating and implementing online and mobile solutions to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization, performing analysis, prototyping, development and testing of solutions and maintaining and updating the organizations in-house developed software environment and solutions. Working under limited supervision, the problems encountered are somewhat complex and may require analysis of data. Finally, the role will require normal courtesy, tact and diplomacy, which involves much personal contact with others.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, IT, Computer Science

EXPERIENCE:

• 0-2 years of professional hands-on experience in network, Internet and Intranet technologies

SKILLS:

• Solid understanding of Microsoft.NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, Web services (Web API, WCF, Nancy), HTML, CSS, Object Relational Mappers, and Software Engineering Disciplines
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies/SCRUM
• Sound analytical and problem- solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
