ABA Instructor/RBT (Norwalk Part-Time Hours)

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Instructor/ Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

This position is located at a student’s home in Norwalk, CT and reports to Meliora Academy. Part-time hours are flexible after school. Meliora is a small private school in Meriden, CT designed to provide intensive and comprehensive educational services to students with autism spectrum and related disorders. The ideal candidate for the ABA Instructor/RBT position would be someone who understands the need for adapting the instruction to meet the student’s individual needs.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Instructor/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:

• Implementation of teaching programs and behavior support plans
• Collect and graph academic and behavior data
• Creating student visual supports and materials needed for instruction
• Wear appropriate PPE and implement cleaning protocols
• Teach ADL skills

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or BCaBA certificate
• Maintain RBT certification
• Successfully complete a criminal background check
• Receive and maintain certifications in Safety Care, First Aid and CPR
• Must be able to lift/push/pull/move up to 60 lbs

Employment Details:

• After school part time flexible hours at student’s home in Norwalk, CT for up to 10 hours per week
• Meliora follows a typical school calendar including a 7-week summer program

Job Type: Part-time
