Melbourne Racing Club Hiring for Finance Administrator – Bank Reconciliations Job at Melbourne Full Time

The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is one of Australia’s most prestigious Sports, Events and Property Development companies. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 13 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and Whiskey, Wine and Fire and finally the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.

Based at Caulfield Racecourse, the Finance Department is looking for a dedicated Finance Administrator – Bank Reconciliations to join the team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for providing assistance to the finance team through the execution of bank reconciliation in required timeframes. This role requires efficient data entry ability and computer literacy as well as comprehension of accounting concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations
• Recording financial transactions into ERP
• Assist with daily cash flow management
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions where required
• Assist with month end responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to management as required

Skills and Experience

• 4+ years’ experience in a similar position
• Basic accounting background
• Knowledge in processing transactions, accounts payable and receivable, journals and reconciliations.
• Ability to work with multiple high volume transactional bank accounts
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
• Qualification in finance or accounting preferred but not necessary
