Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) supervises the activities of the employment department. They oversee the company’s recruiting programs, policies, and procedures to develop and utilize various sources of potential applicants to fulfill staffing needs.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Policy
Develop and implement sustainable talent acquisition and hiring plans and the associated strategies
Develop the budget for the plan
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recruitment team
Recommends and implements continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, solutions, and new hire evaluation process.
Understands and implements best practices and benchmarks from like functions across the nation and industry.
Responsible for compliance with state and federal employment laws and compliance with company policies and service level agreements.
Management
Determine Recruiting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Create and present KPI reports monthly
Supervision of recruitment team
Training and education of new team members
Coaches team members to achieve department goals, leverages data and metrics, leads projects and manages direct reports in an inspiring way that encourages professional growth, engagement, and high performance.
Suggest measures for improving employee retention
Recruitment
Determine employee recruiting needs by collaborating with Directors and Schedulers; establish monthly, quarterly and annual goals and provide forecasts as needed
Reviews and approves content and placement of job postings in newspapers, magazines, trade or professional journals, or online media.
Use sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles and help implement local recruiting strategies
Maintains relationships with and visits high schools, trade schools, colleges, job fairs, and related venues as part of recruiting efforts.
Attend career and college fairs and similar events (virtual and onsite as required)
Responsible for specific talent pools and creating solutions to create and maintain pipelines of talent to serve multiple clients
Source and find candidates qualified for open corporate positions and assist the other recruiters as needed
Design, plan and execute selection processes (review applications, and background check reports, conduct interviews and screening calls, administer psychological tests etc.) as needed
Design, plan and execute employer branding activities in collaboration with marketing
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Related field, Master’s Degree preferred
