Home Health Aide – Boca Raton, FL

Pay rate: 14/hr

Shifts: 07:00 am to 07:00 pm or 07:00pm to 07:00 am

Summary:

Home Health Aides (HHAs) play a vital role in allowing individuals to maintain their independence and well-being in their own homes. They provide essential non-medical care and support to patients across a range of ages and diagnoses, ensuring their daily needs are met with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Prepare and assist with meals and snacks.
• Monitor vital signs and any changes to the client’s healthcare team.
• Help patients move safely and ambulate, using assistive devices if needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Run errands and accompany patients to appointments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and condition.
• Communicate effectively with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Completion of an HHA training program and state certification (may vary)
• Compassionate and caring nature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required
