ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Digital Marketing Associate will contribute digital and social strategy to the marketing and promotional efforts for New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre and the Mahalia Jackson Theater, performing a broad range of digital and social marketing duties and tasks to drive awareness, engagement and increase ticket sales for venue, concerts, theatrical performances, comedy and Broadway shows.
PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGSPrimary functions include oversight, execution, analysis and optimization of digital and social marketing initiatives and strategies on digital and social platforms including venue websites, e-mail database, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, display ads and search engines in line with marketing campaigns, lead generation and venue brand and goals.
Develop & implement effective digital and social ad campaigns including paid search, social platform channels, programmatic, retargeting and video ads for targeted audiences.
Manage e-database platform, creating Targeted Audience Segments to optimize campaign performance.Implement and manage performance tracking tools such as UTM parameters, pixels, tags, Meta Data SourcesOversee social media creation, strategy and implementation, including paid ads and boosted and organic posts across all platforms.
Maintain websites and keep show and general venue content current.Ensure continuity of brand voice across all social channels.
Monitor all social platforms and engage in conversation, respond to inquiries, remove spam and forward issues to appropriate contact / team.
Identify, coordinate, oversee and engage social influencers as needed.Find and repurpose content relating to venues and / or artists to share on platforms.
Analyze and provide s as needed on social and digital metrics.Identify new trends, platforms and opportunities to expand our social and digital presence and engagement.
Localize, revise and / or create digital and social assets as needed.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLSThe ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
In addition to having exceptional communications skills, you can write to a variety of audience personas and have a passion for music, theater and the city of New Orleans.
You are not afraid to ask questions, share ideas or take initiative.
2 or more years in digital marketing.Experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads required.Experience with Google Analytics and digital marketing tracking technologies.
Comfortable working with websites, as well as understanding website best practices and performance metrics.Able to evaluate campaign metrics and analytics for campaign optimization and high-level ing.
Knowledge of OTT, streaming practices and digital trends.Well-versed in use of social media as a marketing tool, including experience with social media management software (Sprout Social, HootSuite, etc.
Ability to create content and / or manipulate existing content in photo / video editing software as needed (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure meeting deadlines and deliverables.An idea generator with strong writing skills and excellent communication and management skills.
Detail oriented, extremely organized and a team player.Experience in entertainment-related field a plus.Advanced graphic design experience a plus.
COMPETENCIESMust be capable of insuring that all laws, building codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management and emergency procedures are followed.
Knowledge of digital marketing rules and guidelines to ensure best practices.
