Media Hunt Communications Hiring for Public Relations Assistant at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Full Time

Media Hunt is the leading corporate PR agency specialising in property and real estate in Australia, and which consults to local and national brands in all fields of property development, real estate, and tourism.

Media Hunt is seeking a master multi-tasker, with great attention to detail and a positive attitude who wants to grow and learn from the best-of-the-best in PR and is passionate about news and media.

The role is a paid casual Public Relations Assistant to join the Media Hunt team for flexible negotiated part-time hours and will be ing directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

– Creation of social media content and social media strategies and assist with digital marketing strategies, events, blog content and website content

– ing to clients assisted by lead Account Managers and General Manager

– Maintenance of social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram) on behalf of company and for clients

– Copywriting (media releases, newsletters, advertorials, EDMs, web copy)

– Media liaison/pitching stories to business, property, news and finance journalists

– Assistance with development of communication and marketing strategies

– Market research and analysis

– Office administration

– Assistance to Managing Director and General Manager

Qualifications

Completed or near completed undergraduate degree in journalism or communication (PR major preferred). Should possess advanced level writing skills and an understanding of how to write for news. Possess strong oral communication skills, be confident, self-motivated and reliable. A strategic and creative thinker who can deal with multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

Software/Program knowledge

Microsoft office suite, Canva, social media e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook.
