Meat & Livestock Australia Hiring for Financial Analyst Job at North Sydney Full Time

Based in North Sydney, we are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team on a permanent full-time basis.

The Financial Analyst plays a key role in producing management reporting as well as providing insightful analysis and commentary to facilitate the delivery of budget and strategic plan objectives. You will work closely with Senior Financial Planning Analysts with the preparation of the month-end results, annual budgets, rolling forecasts and reporting/ad hoc financial modelling for all stakeholders

Your responsibilities will include:

Management Reporting & Analysis

• Timely and accurate preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting/dashboards
• Monthly and quarterly analysis of financial and non-financial performance
• Assist with writing the finance reports

Planning & Budgeting

• Preparation and upload of rolling forecasts, budgets and strategic plans (using Oracle PBCS)
• Develop ad hoc financial models and maintain existing models
• Income forecasts, rolling forecasts
• Monitoring and planning of the project investment pipeline

Business Partnering

• Work with market insights team to gather inputs for income forecasts
• Provide decision support and ad hoc analysis to Program and/or Project Managers
• Discuss month-end results with internal stakeholders

Accounting

• Preparing financial statements for Grant Agreements

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ Years Commercial / Business Analyst Skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance/Accounting, Economics
• CA/CPA qualified (or studying towards)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong PowerPoint skills
• Oracle PBCS or other OLAP software experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong influencing skills
