Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist is a strategic member of the marketing team responsible for implementing and managing our social media marketing efforts across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will leverage their digital expertise and finger-on-the-pulse knowledge of online trends to drive campaign awareness and brand affinity.

What Do You Offer Us?

• Have a clear understanding of the Mears brand and culture, while working as an ambassador to build our culture through our social media platforms
• Assist with building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
• Collaborate with Marketing Director to determine appropriate content
• Create, edit, publish and share content that builds a meaningful connection and encourages engagement with posts and drives traffic to website
• Design social media graphics
• Coordinate with inhouse graphic designer for major social media campaigns as needed
• Optimize social pages within each platform to increase the visibility of Mears and its associate brands
• Moderate all user-generated content online with the moderation policy for each community
• Create editorial calendars and schedules
• Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data, metrics, insights and best practices and then acting on the information
• Identify opportunities to share the Mears story
  

What We Offer You:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay Frequency: Semi-Monthly
• Compensation Range: $70,000 – $80,000/ year

What is Required?

• Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications or related field
• At least 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in social media for B2B or B2C
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Strong project management skills and experience working in a deadline driven work environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Agency experience a plus
