McWhirter Steel Hiring for Accounting and Finance Clerk Job at Lancaster, CA Full Time

Job Summary:

The Finance and Accounting Clerk at McWhirter Steel will uphold all general bookkeeping duties and add additional value to company with in depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting.

Major duties:

• Budgeting and tracking each job’s revenue’s, direct costs and indirect costs
• Budgeting and tracking all overhead expenses
• Perform all invoicing for every Mcwhirter steel job (work with project managers)
• Manage collections
• Manage payables
• Payroll
• Work with project managers and estimators to properly analyze jobs
• Work with CPA’s to prepare received and audited financial statements yearly
• Work with Surety Companies to increase McWhirter Steel’s bonding capacity
• Prepare weekly financial reports
• Perform monthly financial analysis’
• Prepare cash flow forecasts at a minimum once a month
• Add value to McWhirter Steel with new ideas and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

To be hired as Accounting and Finance Clerk prospects:

• Should have a degree in accounting, finance or something related
• Shall be completely software literate
• Shall have construction accounting knowledge
