ACCOUNTING MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall accounting activities of the finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages the finance and accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, budget, and forecast preparation
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
• Develops, implements, and maintains accounting systems and consistent policies and procedures necessary to promote profitable operations, safeguard company assets, and comply with applicable regulations
• Prepares timely and accurate monthly financial statements; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Collaborates with Corporate on the delivery of financial information
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for external audits
• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current accounting staff
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
• Minimum 5 years of broad accounting and management experience required
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
• Proven leader with high professional ethics and unquestionable integrity
• Good decision-maker who is well organized and can prioritize and plan ahead
• Excellent communicator and listener who is assertive yet personable and flexible
• Supervisory skills and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse organization where group interaction, communication, and human relations are critical
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience working with Prophet 21 (P21) or ERP system a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
