We are looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to provide accounting and financial services as part of the Finance Shared Services team. The primary focus of this position is to work closely with the Corporate Finance team in providing timely, accurate and compliance-focused financial accounting functions for the organisation.

This role requires a high focus on accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial and taxation regulatory compliance are met with respect to the transactions and business of the company (GST, FBT, Company Tax, ABS Business Surveys, etc.)

• Completion of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for the group for all treasury, asset registers and capital WIP, including proactive follow up on aged balances/and or reconciling variances

• Prepare daily and periodic group consolidated cash flow projections including management of daily cash requirements

• Maintaining a robust system of financial controls for accurate and efficient reporting

• Continually develop and maintain sound interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to connect, support and challenge internal and external clients and to operate effectively as a member of a team

• Assisting with annual budget process, and all other financial reports as required

• Ad hoc duties as directed by Financial Accountant – Corporate

• Strong compliance experience (GST, FBT and Tax)

• High level of accuracy, and a keen eye for process improvement.

• Ability to provide insightful analysis to financial and non-financial stakeholders

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to connect, support and challenge internal and external clients and to operate effectively as a member of a team

• Excellent organisation and time management skills, and the ability manage conflicting priorities

• An ability to work autonomously
