ABOUT THE JOB:
The Senior Accountant I is jointly responsible for financial and accounting activities within a McLane grocery division. They have frontline supervisory and leadership responsibilities for the division’s non-exempt accounting teammates. They maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), McLane accounting policies, best practices and other internal controls.

PREFERRED qualifications and experience for this position include: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), current or in progress; Oracle E-Business Suite experience.

Prepare financial statements, including advanced balance sheet reconciliations.

set up, maintain, and inventory fixed assets.

Assist in preparing the annual budget

Forecast, prepare, file and pay product excise taxes and other taxes according to schedule.

Facilitate audits and information requests.

This position has additional responsibilities; special projects may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

3+ years of accounting experience.

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Be able to organize, forecast, and meet financial deadlines.
