POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, the applicant must possess excellent communication and team building skills and have the ability to work independently, collaboratively, with full transparency, as required by the client/project. The applicant shall also be able to support and coordinate construction work, ensuring process conformance with contract documents and applicable standards.

Principle Responsibilities:

To have knowledge of all general contracts and subcontract documents,
drawings, and specifications and to develop the onsite plans and procedures for the
implementation including quality control efforts.

Assist in the development of the quality control procedures and requirements, within the project documents.

To have knowledge of the job and to see that the work is performed within the boundaries of the analysis.

To work with the Project Manager in the preparation of the project schedule, to keep them properly updated, and to see that the job does everything feasible to meet the required dates.

Assist in the review of all drawings and specifications for suspected design deficiencies, impractical details and constructability issues, and to refer any findings to the project engineer who will bring them to the attention of the architect and document these findings directly to the Architect/Engineer.

To work with the Project Manager in scheduling and expediting the delivery of Long lead materials and equipment furnished by the Contractor and subcontractors, and to assume the primary responsibility for their timely onsite delivery along with the Project Manager.

To keep the Project Manager currently informed as to changes made
in the field, so that such changes may be covered by general contract change orders
and subcontract change orders, to properly authorize, validate, and process all
documents involving change

Monitor detailed scopes of work and bid packages for all trades and subcontractors.

Ensure proper coordination, cooperation and communication between related and unrelated trades to ensure the smooth operation and progress of the project.

Maintain daily logs including updating, issuing s, and tracking for all work.

Responsible for working with Project Manager and/or the Project Executive to provide the necessary documentation, investigation, and ing of all claim issues of extra work, time extensions and insurance matters, including workers’ compensation, property damage and general liability claims.

To establish and maintain good safety and security practices for the entire project in accordance with’ safety bulletins OSHA and any other applicable safety codes and regulations.

Attend regular job and special meetings and document, distribute and communicate issues discussed, including resolution of open items, remedy work and cost issues.

Review and comment on shop drawings and field Sketches for work at site.

Review and process all project related documents(RFI’s Sketches, Bulletins, Deficiency items, Non Comppliance etc) in prompt manner so as to keep the project on schedule.

Follow up with Subcontractors to ensure timely resolution, planning and coordination of all projected related activities for the subcontractor or in coordination with other subcontractors.

Coordination and support of site meetings, processing and confirming site staff input to site management paperwork, managing the processing of change orders and/or additional compensation coordination with the client and other stakeholders.

Project Engineer Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 4 or more years’ field and project planning experience.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software
• The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Excellent project management and supervision skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 – $178,000.00 per year
