Tax and Accounting Associate Job Description

This is a full-time position with flexibility in the off-season. Could be full-time during tax season with part-time in the off-season if candidate desired. We are a fun, professional tax and accounting firm looking for a senior tax accountant to join our team. Employee would work directly with a variety of individuals and businesses.

Specific Duties include:

• Client interview and preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations – Lacerte Software
• Assist in IRS Audits
• Tax Research and compliance
• Respond to government notices
• Financial Statement Preparation, year-end adjustments for corporate clients
• QuickBooks clean-up for business clients
• Year-end reporting for corporate clients: w-2’s, 1099’s
• Quarterly payroll reports for small business clients
• Bookkeeping/write up for small business clients

Desired Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; EA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 5+ years experience in Tax
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently, self-driven
