About the Project
The Midland Junction Alliance (MJA) comprising of Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, McConnell Dowell Pty Limited, Georgiou Group Pty Limited, BG&E and Arcadis is an alliance that is committed to delivering the Midland Station (Cale Street) project (MSCS) in a collaborative way to ensure exceptional results.

We will achieve this through engaging experienced individuals and providing training and development to ensure they feel engaged and equipped to carry out the tasks.

The MSCS project will involve the design and construction of a new station built between Helena and Cale Street including commissioning, interconnection with the existing freight and passenger rail line networks and Final Asset Acceptance of the works.

About the Role
McConnell Dowell Constructions (Aust.) are currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team in Perth.

Responsibilities include:

• Understand the elements of the Alliance Charter and their individual contribution in its delivery
• Assist in collating project financial performance reports
• Participate in audit reviews and provide the necessary information to auditors as requested

About You:

• Tertiary accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial accounting and ideally within a construction environment
• Sound understanding and application of accounting standards
• Specialist in cash management control
• Compilation of financial reports, e.g., Budgets/Forecast, and interrogation of project financial reports (Workbench)
• Working knowledge of MMS
• Clear and definitive communication – both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel
