BRIEF SUMMARY OF POSITION AND TEAM
The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for developing and stablishing quality assurance standards and measures for the Digital and Data and Analytics initiatives, will work collaboratively to define, develop, maintain, and deliver testing requirements. In addition to delivery responsibilities, the Quality Assurance Lead will also act as an advocate for QA best practices and lead initiatives to improve test processes, extend the use of tools/frameworks (where appropriate) and support the development of test team members.
As the Quality Assurance Lead you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the testing of software produced across a specific test phase, technical domain, or product set, ensuring quality standards are met for any changes deployed.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for stablishing and improving the Quality Assurance practices for the Digital and Data Analytics team
Initiating test automation and test engineering practices
Continue review of existing test coverage and overall QA status of the organization
Identify templates and processes that are the best fit for the organization
Build test plans, test strategy, defect report, risk report, test summary report, etc
Provide input to overall project plans regarding all testing aspects
Work with customer to shift culture towards DevOps mentality
Manage the Testing Effort across multiple projects with use of milestones and estimations
Advocate adherence to the company’s Quality processes and procedures
Peer review deliverables to ensure compliance with quality practices and standards
Influence how the teams develop user stories and acceptance criteria, typically deploying Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Building a QA Testing service capability and coaching others to help improve QAT-wide practices to support the digital service standard, often working as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on user needs and user centered design.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes to ensure the desired QA maturity level is maintained/achieve
Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science (or related field of study) or equivalent work experience.
Extensive hands-on test experience within Agile projects, with a strong understanding of the Sprint, CI and release testing lifecycles.
Extensive automation experience and the ability to specify, develop, and implement automation frameworks and advice on industry best practice.
Experience of working with testing cloud-based tools and services.
Demonstrable experience of working with micro service architectures and data services
Demonstrable experience defining and advising on test scope, approach, risks and assumptions across DevOps and agile testing.
Proactive in managing test dependencies, coordinating test coverage and execution.
Experience working in Agile projects with continuous integrations and continuous deployment will be a plus
A problem solver with a keen eye for details and a strong desire to learn.
Self-directed, independent, and comfortable in fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments
