About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager Supply Chain & Innovation ANZ, this position is a key member of the cross-functional and leadership teams for Engineering and Innovation and will partner closely with the Engineering Director and R&D Director, providing financial information, tools, analysis, and insights to assist in making more informed decisions and driving the business strategy.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide support in relation to project costs, providing guidance on request for expenditure authorisation forms (REA’s) and project post-mortem review.
• Support plant Finance Business Partners (FBP) with timings for project closure and capitalisation.
• Aid in the development of processes to support the FBP’s learning and development in areas of capital and innovation
• Set up processes for asset audits and liaise with sites to ensure completion.
• Bring financial facts and recommendations to daily and strategic decision making across Engineering and Innovation to drive optimal cost outcomes
• Validation of savings, plans and reporting for Strategic Cost Advantage (SCA) projects
• Drive and actively identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce costs for the business.

About you

You may be a Financial Analyst, Management Accountant or even an Associate Consultant looking to take the next step in your career with a Tier 1 FMCG organisation.

While we’re open to what your background may look like, we are hoping that the successful candidate would have some of the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
• Experience in partnering with stakeholders to drive favourable commercial outcomes
• Manufacturing experience or exposure to capital would both be ideal, but not essential
• Strong learning agility – you might not know the answer or have experience in a particular area, but it won’t take you long to learn
• You may have finished or be working towards your CA/CPA
• High degree of numerical and reporting accuracy combined with experience with forecasting and project management
