New opportunity available for a Finance Analyst to join our Global Logistics Finance Services team in Sydney’s West.

The Finance Analyst is focused on providing judgment to support complex accounting issues and is business unit centred. The objectives of the Finance team are capability orientated to achieve effective decision making, to be easily understood by the customer and to be adaptable for ongoing continuous improvement. This includes the preparation of reports and KPIs reflecting earnings, profits and other financial results, and provision of meaningful analysis to the business that improves the ability to make informed decisions.

As the Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Support budget / forecast process, including consolidation of business unit reporting regions and discussions with business unit Managers for respective regions.
• Responsible for Profit and Loss and associated discussion and commentary with business unit Managers.
• Prepare/Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and lead resolution of reconciliation issues.
• Involved with Board and Corporate Reporting and coordinating with team members for completion.
• Actively involved in financial reporting issues and suggest and implement improvements.
• Provide assistance to business in general finance / accounting / system related issues and associated analysis and business decision support.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum of 3 years financial accounting experience
• Possess extensive financial reporting experience
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Strong communication and relationships skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with business unit Managers and key stakeholders.
• Exhibit a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Be a proficient user of MS Excel
• Be CPA/CA qualified or part qualified
• Financial accounting experience across Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehousing industries advantageous
