Position description
Responsible for moderate level of administrative, logistical, and technical duties in the pre-production and production of live and scripted educational materials. Productions may take place either at a selected campus location or in a surgical procedure setting. Edits and produces digital assets, both audio and video, electronic still images, and online educational material for use by Mayo Clinic, the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development personnel, and for Mayo-commercialized and distributed educational media. Utilizes and demonstrates organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation, and a high degree of content creation and video editing skills.
This position is accountable to and receives direction from the Studio Executive Producer/ Content Production Specialist on assigned projects, in alignment with the project/program structure. This position may report and provide assistance to a Studio Executive Producer, Director, Program Manager, Content Production Specialist, supervisor, or team lead in a matrix relationship for an individual project. Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with staff across the Mayo Clinic campuses at various levels and roles, numerous internal partners across the organization and other departmental, institutional and enterprise leadership, as well as external contractors and institutions.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must meet one of the below qualifications:
A background in electronics and/or computer work is essential. Knowledge of analogue and digital video media and mainframe and personal computers with proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, as well as Adobe, Photoshop, Premiere, iMovie, and other relevant software. Experience with working with databases is required. Requires strong human relations, communication skills, organization skills, and can function independently and within ambiguous environments.
Additional qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skilled in creativity, graphic artistry, artistic conception, photography and adaptability. Experience with archival technology, typing, adaptability to new technologies and procedures, and medical identification skills. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful. This position must adapt to tight deadlines. Must have high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior level Mayo Clinic personnel and numerous non-Mayo professionals. This position may be required to work in surgical and procedural areas.
