Position description
The Center for Digital Health at Mayo Clinic is looking for an AI Curriculum Developer to help advance digital strategy for AI across the enterprise. The AI Curriculum Developer will work with a team of multidisciplinary subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, implement, and maintain new, innovative, online, blended and web-based education curriculum (courses, content and materials) as well as generate and apply the training materials needed for adoption across the enterprise. This role will consult with and train multiple stakeholders, including AI Data Scientists, QMS teams, and clinical departments utilizing software in practice. Exceptional human relations and communication (written, verbal, and listening) skills will be necessary to effectively communicate and deliver materials across disciplines and stakeholders. This role requires utilizing a variety of computer programs to design and create training documents, visual diagrams, classroom presentations, and training videos. Additional responsibilities include categorizing training programs, planning and scheduling training sessions, performing training gap assessments, documenting training compliance, and identifying external training opportunities. A proven ability to consolidate feedback and improve the content and efficiency of training sessions is expected. Responsible for project management and tracking of AI Curriculum development. Measure/report the effectiveness of AI Curriculum Development to leadership. Provide in depth knowledge of existing systems & maintain knowledge of current/emerging Education technologies. Additional responsibilities may include creating and editing copy with a focus on standards for a wide range of content, including UI copy, learning materials, videos and presentations.

Qualifications

This position requires a BA or BS and at least five years of experience in a teaching or training role. Experience developing and leading training programs is required. Demonstrated success in the development of e-learning experiences (online and/or blended) curriculum is required.

Additional qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills and a passion for both learning and teaching. A demonstrated application of several problem-solving methodologies, planning techniques, continuous improvement methods, project management methods, and analytical tools and methodologies is required. The candidate must also have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities and stay current on AI best practices and/or FDA SaMD best practices. Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation, negotiation, persuasion, and written communications skills are required. Exceptional time management is also required. In addition, the role requires demonstrated analytical skills, consulting skills, ability to identify and recommend solutions, and a commitment to customer service. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate various tasks on projects.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional ability to create and deliver a range of training materials that simplify complex processes, such as compliance with regulatory requirements. This position may work with a team of multidisciplinary subject matter experts to draft, review, and improve upon the processes that support an FDA Quality Management System (QMS) for SaMD as well as generate and apply the training materials needed for adoption across the enterprise.
Content knowledge in the field of AI and a deep understanding of the latest tools and pedagogies for maximizing training and performance is a plus. Experience with software development processes and/or training teams in a regulated environment, such as one subject to FDA regulations, will help in this role. This position may require learning FDA regulation for SaMD.
Experience with online content management and other website delivery platforms, such as WordPress, SharePoint, Drupal, Contentful, etc. is a plus.
