Maxima Therapy Hiring for Child Development Specialist Job at Lancaster, CA Full Time

Are you interested in joining a fun and collaborative organization devoted to helping children overcome challenges? We are currently looking to hire a Special Education Teacher to join our interdisciplinary team. The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients’ homes and/or daycare. All our clients are located in Antelope Valley, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Our preschool special education teachers provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas; diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the company and communicates and meets with parents providing information on student progress.
• Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies.
• Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with supervisors, classroom teachers, administrators, and parents as required by the company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
• Manages each students schedule and makes modifications if needed on a daily basis.
• Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must have experience working with children with special needs
• Must have positive, high energy, and enthusiastic attitude
• Must be flexible
• Collaboration with team members (OT, PT, ST and BCBA)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Must understand the importance of collaboration
• Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs

Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well as part of a team, strong written and verbal communication skills. Multilingual is a plus.
