Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving profitable growth and delivering agreed Sales and Profit targets for assigned regions. Plans, directs and coordinates Maxcess’ Sales activities and supports the goals and objectives established by the Executive Leadership Team of Maxcess. Responsible for overall sales performance in the region of Central US market leading a team of 10+ account managers and technical sales managers in acquiring and maintaining customers. Collaborates with product and business development managers to develop new business opportunities. May act as key account manager for some of the Company’s multi-national customers and prospects headquartered in the Americas.
· Accountable for meeting or exceeding agreed to Sales and EBITDA Profit targets. This includes supporting the formulation of these targets through getting the “buy in” of the supporting sales teams, manufacturing, marketing, senior leadership.
· Develops and executes strategies to create and retain profitable customers in all Maxcess product lines and grow market share in core products.
· Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of attaining sales targets. Provides support and direction for improvement in sales organization and processes. Leads and motivates existing Account Managers, determines appropriate staffing levels and recruits new staff when necessary.
· Liaises with executive management to design and manage performance-based incentive compensation plan.
· Ensures compliance to company policies on pricing, business ethics, and sales cost management.
· Prepares annual and monthly sales forecasts and budgets and monitors performance toward budget to achieve goals agreed with executive management.
· Establishes and maintains relationships with key accounts and prospects, OEM’s and other strategic partners as appropriate.
· Collaborates with marketing to create and manage sales promotional activities including trade shows, events, advertising and to maintain and communicate accurate competitive intelligence for the market area.
· Partners with finance on matters of joint interest such as customer terms, contracts, and liability. Helps develop and makes recommendations on pricing strategy for the organization to increase market share while achieving targeted profitability.
· Maximizes company achievement in customer satisfaction by effective teamwork among sales, customer solutions, engineering, and manufacturing.
· Ensures employees and processes operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
· Promotes waste minimization, energy conservation, and other efforts to meet environmental objectives.
· Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.
Candidate Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Industrial Technology, or Engineering preferred
· 5 years’ minimum Sales and Sales Leadership experience in an engineered products environment. Prior converting industry knowledge and experience preferred.
· Demonstrates strong communication, team building, and leadership skills.
· Excellent written and communication skills, with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
· Prior experience in strategic planning and sales planning required.
· Ability to deal with a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated, self-starter.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
· Strong analytical skills required with an ability to identify market/customer trends
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Active use of CRM and associated ing and pipeline management required
· Extensive travel throughout the United States (estimated 30 – 50%). Global travel will be required (estimated 1 trip/year).
· Able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment – safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. when entering manufacturing facilities.
