Maviate eVTOL Startup Hiring for Flight Test Engineer at Long Beach, CA Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Flight test support assisting in designing top-level development test, interfacing, and coordinating test range requirements, resources and flight test activities.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage assigned test-related projects, and assist in the review of proposals for validity of flight test requirements providing direction and advice on significant requirements, approaches, and potential problem areas.
• Prepare and present material in support of test readiness reviews
• Prepare and lead flight briefs and debriefs for test events
• Lead and participate in test setup (flight line) activities
• and communicate test results
• Participate in all aspects of the Flight Test Safety Risk Management process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. (Master’s degree preferred)
• 2+ years of flight testing experience (unmanned air vehicles preferred)
• Experience with FAA airworthiness certifications (preferred)
• Experience in Part 23 and/or Part 27 certification flight test (preferred)
• FAA DER – Flight Analyst (preferred)
• Experience with prototyping (preferred)
• FAA pilot certificate (preferred)
• Airframe component testing experience (preferred)
• Must possess test and evaluation experience in an aerospace program
