Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Accounts Payable function including, but not limited to posting purchase invoices, staff expenses, supplier reconciliations and cost allocations.
• Suggest a payment run as per the suppliers’ terms and present it to the line manager on fortnightly basis.
• Liaise with the suppliers for any discrepancy or dispute. Present solutions to the line manager.
• Review the purchase invoices with attention to details and request approvals from relevant individuals within the business.
• Keep the prepayment and fixed asset registers up to date. Inform line manager about any significant additions to those schedules.
• Allocate the cost correctly to the right cost centers and seek guidance from line manager in time basis if in doubt.
• Scrutiny of the staff expenses, relevant documents, taxes (if applicable) before posting them to the accounting system.
• Bank reconciliations for the paid expenses and raise concerns to the line manager before month-end.
• Reconcile credit card statements and request invoices for the costs from relevant employees before the month-end.
• Suggest process improvements by demonstrating different ways of performing tasks.
• Assist line manager with any ad hoc reconciliations and accounting tasks.
• Assist operations team with any ad hoc tasks as per in agreement with the line manager.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• An enthusiastic Accounts Payable with experience in a similar role (within the IT sector is preferred).
• Intermediate user of MS suite (including MS Excel and formulas, Word, Outlook).
• Experience in using Xero, Sage, and Quick books is preferred.
• Attention to detail is a must with clear communication skills.
• Problem-solving attitude and a self-starter.
• Team player that understands the importance of timely communication.
• Keen to excel in the profession of finance by gaining more experience and taking on more responsibilities.
