GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
As directed by the Maintenance Manager, the Purchaser is responsible for all Procurement activities for the Maintenance department and various plant support functions. The job will also include stockroom maintenance and control, where duties will mainly consist of organizing the stock room, controlling inventory, and ensuring stock levels are adequate. The purchaser will be responsible for their own personal objectives which support the department and factory vision, preventative practices, relationships with all departments, safety, and levels of quality. The Purchaser must also have a solid background and understanding of mechanical and electrical components, as well as possessing mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with all plant maintenance and aid in the development of sourcing strategies of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships across varied internal functions as well as with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers, to influence change and drive results.

Assist the plant with audits of spare parts inventory, receive invoices, and process paperwork.

Promote safety and use of maintenance management software.

Utilization of strategic methods to reduce spend.

Working with all maintenance team members to build sustainable improvements for parts rooms, processes, and methods.

Create, organize and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.

Managing machine records.

3-5 years of experience dealing with Maintenance or Production

Experience within a Manufacturing facility preferred

Microsoft office skills required

SAP working knowledge preferred
