Position Overview:

As the Lead Technical Architect, you will have the opportunity to build innovative, integrated, scalable, and balanced system solutions aligned with our Business and IT strategies. Using design & critical thinking, deep business knowledge, situational awareness and multi-disciplinary experience, the Lead Technical Architect will deliver insight, trusted advice and the technical leadership needed to make efficient use of technology and information assets.

In accordance with policies and processes, you will help lead a highly specialized team delivering architectural solutions for complex platforms, programs and projects encompassing multiple strategically significant domains.

Job Requirements

• Partnering with and influencing senior business leaders and IT delivery areas to implement technology strategies. Participate in review, evaluation, and recommendation of new technologies.
• Assisting senior management in developing and communicating products, services and strategies throughout the organization.
• Lead a highly specialized team delivering architectural solutions for complex enterprise platforms, programs and projects encompassing multiple strategically significant domains.  Responsible for continuous coaching and development of team members to support in achievement of goals.
• Directing the resolution of highly complex business and technical problems.
• Anticipating and actively responding to future customer, industry, and information technology trends. Convert knowledge and ideas into better ways of doing business or into new or improved products and services
• Running multiple concurrent projects and assigning the appropriate mix of resources to projects.
• Achieving customer satisfaction, cost, expense, and other critical performance metrics. Assist with the preparation of resource estimates, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Examine and evaluate current business processes and tasks and develops standards for improvement.  Formulate actions and processes to support the defined goals and objectives of the business unit and organization.
• Review and standardize technology artifacts, processes, and architecture patterns.
• Ensures alignment to maurices supported technology stacks with all provided solutions.
• Identify, control, and manage the impact of technical debt on the project and the project deliverables.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related discipline required. MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in enterprise, application and information architecture design and development.
• Minimum of 10 years recent and related experience in information systems architecture methodologies
• Retail experience required.
• Experience in Merchandising (RMS), Allocation, Sourcing and Supply Chain retail systems strongly preferred.
• Experience in leading, designing and implementing large system replacement projects.
• Strong Infrastructure, security and cloud knowledge preferred
• Strong experience with continuous integration and continuous development methodologies and tools preferred.
• Strong ability to rapidly learn new techniques and technologies and apply them
• Strong ability to analyze, consolidate and communicate complex topics to all levels of staff (including but not limited to IT executives, business/technical managers, developers and system administrators) in verbal and written form
• Strong detail orientation, follow-through capabilities and escalation of key issues
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good relationship management and negotiation abilities
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing business needs
• Experience leading the application delivery process.
• Direct team leadership experience.
