Matthews Memorialization Hiring for Coordinator – Shipping at Elberton, GA Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Coordinator – Shipping is responsible for coordinating shipments both domestically and internationally. This role handles effective communication with customer representatives and employees at various levels within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user.
• Completes daily receiving entries in computer system. Distributes to purchasing office for filing.
• Manages raw material and critical supply inventories, including maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and ing, monthly inventory
• manages all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paper work in software accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped
• Completes incoming inspection testing, confirmation of certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation.
• Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands-on cleaning
• Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor for distribution.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or related field
• 4+ years of previous shipping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and ing
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
