Matrix is looking to hire Skilled Labourers for a project in Calgary, AB. The pay rate is $22/hr. Our client is Canada’s second-largest living history museum.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week. Various scheduled hours of work including possible weekends, fluctuating hours, and overtime may be required. 7.00am to 3.30pm.
Scope of Work:
Constructs and repairs boardwalks, railings, and other facilities as required.
Scaffold assembly, siding removal.
Foundation formwork and cribbing, concrete placement.
Roofing removal and cleanup.
Use of power tools saws drills, mains and battery powered, gas powered compaction rollers, scissor
lifts.
General labour, new construction, and some demolition may be required.
Other related duties as assigned.
Working conditions:
Physical requirements are numerous and varied including, lifting, climbing ladders, and being on your feet. for long periods of time.
As a large portion of this position takes place outside, exposure to varied weather conditions is imminent. This position requires a person in good physical condition.
Qualifications:
Versatile carpentry including rough work.
Fluency in English and good listening skills are essential.
Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client’s safety manual.
Requirements:
High School education.
Experience in Carpentry is an asset.
A minimum of 6 months of general construction experience including cribbing, framing, and siding, required.
Residential experience will be an asset.
PPE: hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
