Matrix Labour Leasing Ltd. Hiring for Concrete Quality Control at Calgary, AB Full Time

Matrix is excited to be hiring a Quality Control Technician for long term work in the Drumheller/Oyen/Brooks areas. This position will pay $30/HR and feature a $50 LOA and hotel. Candidates should be service oriented and proud to represent the client’s amazing brand to a growing consumer base.

Scope of Work:
Testing of concrete to ensure product quality

Ensuring a safe work place and maintain safety policies to ensure work safety and the protection of the public

Monitoring pours and working with customers on site to ensure product meets required specifications

Evaluating material properties for use in concrete production

Troubleshooting problems on project sites and at plants, including field investigations

Optimizing of concrete production procedures

Analyzing and designing concrete mix designs

Researching and developing new concrete products

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High School Graduation

Completion of Civil Engineering of Technology program preferred

Some experience in construction, manufacturing or similar environment an asset

Experience in ready-mix concrete is preferred

Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract

Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel & Email)

Good verbal and written English communication skills

Team player with a willingness to learn and attention to detail

Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor work environments

Must be physically fit and able to work long hours as required

Able to perform a variety of tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting

Job will be camp based in remote locations
