About the Company

At Mathnasium, The Math Learning Center, we teach math in a way that makes sense to students from 1st Grade to High School. We are highly specialized, teaching only math, using a curriculum developed over the past 40 years. You will be participating in the transformation of young minds and changing the trajectories of their lives!

Position Overview

The Mathnasium Mathematics Instructors/Tutor will be a bright and ambitious professional with excellent interpersonal skills. Candidates will use the Mathnasium Method of teaching math and contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment. Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

– Experience working with children as a Teacher, Tutor or Mathematics Instructor preferred

– Skilled in mathematics concepts through Algebra 2

– Qualified Teachers, Students and Parents are encouraged to apply

– Ability to create a sense of comfort in parents and children

– Be able to communicate clearly with staff, parents, and students

– Excellent organizational skills

– Excellent leadership skills

– Excellent child management skills and ability to tutor in a small group setting

This is a part-time position and Instructors will work anywhere from 8 – 20 hours per week. Hours will vary, but generally are from 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday-Thursday. Pay will be based on experience.
