Mathnasium Hiring for Math Learning Center – Education Director at Glenview, IL Full Time

Mathnasium, The Math Learning Center, is looking for a bright, enthusiastic leader to assist in the education delivery to our students. Candidates should be passionate about math and be able to impact the way students view math. The ideal Education Director will possess exceptional leadership and organizational skills responsible for education delivery, operation duties of a learning center, parent communication, staff development/management, and effective administration.

We are a math-only supplementary learning center that teaches kids math in a way that make sense to them. Using the proprietary Mathnasium Method with individual curriculum and specific teaching constructs, we offer customized learning plans for each student to help students whether they are far behind or already ahead in math.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assess and diagnose educational needs of students
• Train and model appropriate instructor/student interactions.
• Manage a team of Instructors to deliver appropriate instruction.
• Provide superior customer service that results in student retention.
• Create a fun & healthy learning environment.
• Foster collaborative relationships with local schools and organizations.
• Assist Center Director to present a compelling vision to parents looking for help for their child’s math learning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong math skills through Algebra I.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Superb organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

• Exemplary character.
• Strong empathy and diplomacy
• Comfortable working with technology. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Docs.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Competitive compensation starting at $20 per hour.
• Benefits available for persons working 30 or more hours per week.
