About the role
We are searching for a friendly, professional and customer centric HR Services Advisor to join our HR Services Team based at the South Brisbane campus on an initial 6 month, part time fixed term contract. (18 hours per week).
Reporting to the Team Leader – HR Services, this will be responsible for providing un-paralleled customer service to our internal employees and ensuring all enquiries (phone, email and face to face) are handled professionally, efficiently, accurately whilst consistently displaying positive and exception customer service at all times.
Our dedicated HR Services team are responsible for providing advice and assistance for any administration, helpdesk and pre-commencement/onboarding enquiries across the Mater Group of companies.
Salary range: $30.88 – $34.52 (Administration Officer – Level 3) per hour plus superannuation
What you’ll be doing
The HR Services Adviser is responsible for managing day to day enquires from both internal and external stakeholders pertaining to relevant HR functions. This role is seen as the first point of communication into the Mater HR department and therefore requires the highest levels of customer service delivery.
Other key responsibilities include:

• Model and promote exceptional service behaviours to internal and external customers
• Maximise the availability of time to receive and respond to customer calls, e-mails and face to face enquiries
• Strive for ‘first call resolution’ in all instances where this is of benefit to the customer
• Promote and maintain a positive organisational image and strong working relationships with people within the organisation
• Ensure all queries are professionally managed on a daily basis
• Contribute to the achievement of HR service team goals
• Support information sharing between teams and departments
• Assist and support projects coordinated by People and Learning teams

About you
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a customer service environment coupled with previous experience/exposure in Human Resources. You will have a positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for excellent customer service will sit at the core of who you are.
Other skills and responsibilities include:

• 3+ years customer service experience in a complex corporate environment.
• Previous experience in a high volume telephone based environment
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy contact centre style environment
• Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, across a diverse audience with a particular emphasis on detail and accuracy.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills that inspire teamwork and approachable customer service to all customers.
• Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities in a pressurised, fast pace environment.
• Ability to work effectively both as a team member and individually.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to legislative and Mater policy requirements.
