Matchtech Looking for Section Engineer (Earthworks & Roadworks) at Sittingbourne, Kent Full Time

We are looking for freelance candidates interested in joining a prestigious new highways project in Sittingbourne. In particular, we are interested from hearing from Section Engineers with Earthworks experience on highway or other civil projects.

This is a key £90m+ highways project that will see the civil engineering specialist deliver major improvements to the slip roads and junction approaches around the M2 junction near Sittingbourne in Kent. Works will also involve the enlargement of the Stockbury Roundabout on the A249 which passes under the M2.
The role of Section Engineer for this particular contract will specialise in the Structures section of works but your main duties in the position will include:
*Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications
*Produce and monitor weekly programs
*Interpreting and implementing of the construction process and procedure
*Monitoring and management of the nominated subcontractors
*Compiling of Method Statements
*Produce accurate daily diaries and plant recons, Permit clearances, RFIs, daily records, etc.
*Manage Site Engineer and their duties including Setting out of the works and As built drawings

The role is a prime opportunity for a professional engineer to gain valuable skills and experience working on a high profile civils project whilst working for one of the most respected principal contractors.

The successful applicant will also need to have the following requirements:
*Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
*Hold a valid and relevant CSCS Card
*Hold a valid SSSTS or SMSTS
