Matchtech Looking for Engineering Services Team Manager (Highways) at Leicestershire Full Time

Matchtech are looking to recruit an Engineering Services Team Manager for a Midlands based Local Authority, on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced team manager to oversee a busy department with a focus on a number of areas.

You will have a background as an engineer and will have strong experience of working in the public sector.

The Engineering Services teams provides the following services:-
* Highway vehicle restraints – asset management, inspections, re-assessments, maintenance activities.
* Infrastructure Planning – technical approval of proposed developer-funded highways-related schemes
* Development Control – highway comments as a statutory consultee to planning applications
* Consultation of developer funded highway improvements.
* Highway Design Consultancy Service – design including procurement and management of construction service for internal and external clients
* Surveys – topographical, trial hole and other commissioned surveys
* Management of the Vehicle access provision from estimating to delivery via the in house contractors
* Professional services including advice and guidance and development of procurement strategies for projects

What the client is looking for:-

* Team Manager with strong experience working for a similar sized authority reporting to Head of Service
* Degree in Civil Engineering with a management qualification.
* You will act as professional lead for the service, ensuring that staff provide a high quality and effective service
* You will have a track record in delivering outstanding services, right first time projects and organisational change in complex organisations
* 2 days in the office with the rest hybrid working
