Matchtech Looking for Civil Apprentice Technician (BIM) at London Full Time

Our client is a global professional engineering services company specialising in water, energy and urbanisation. They are seeking a Civil Apprentice Technician to be based out of one of their many UK offices (remote working available).

This role will contribute to successfully delivering projects to budget and timescales. The Civil Apprentice Technician reports to a Team Leader (BIM) and collaborates with all stakeholders cross discipline to achieve ‘best for project’ outcomes.

The role will initially be working with water companies based in New Zealand and will include remote/flexible working. Due to the time differences, being available for early/late calls may be required.

Candidates will ideally live in a commutable distance to our clients’ following offices though the roles will be mostly remote working: Leeds, Guildford, Chester, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and York.

Responsibilities

• Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific area or areas.
• Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
• Exercises limited judgment on details of work in application of standard methods for conventional work.
• Completes drawings with supervision using AutoCAD.
• Works within multi-disciplinary engineering teams to complete tasks to agreed deadlines.
• Participating Designer, taking part in the production of technical documentation.
• Good collaboration skills

Skills/experience

• Possess a basic knowledge of the following software:

• AutoCAD within a 2D environment
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Interacts with staff, possesses adequate oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate integrity.

Qualifications

• Working towards a relevant qualification at Level 3 and may attend technical college on a day release basis
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Team player, cooperative with other staff
• Committed to Professional and Personal Development and Competency
