Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students. Our mission is to prepare students for success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility. Students gain acceptance to our schools via an annual blind public lottery open to all Boston residents.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an opening for a Computer Science Teacher to join the faculty f or the 2023-2024 school year. This position is located at our high school on 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton.
The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $60,000-$96,000 and is based on a candidates prior years of teaching experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who will be teaching Computer Science for the first time. The Computer Science Teacher will have access to curriculum and instructional support through two important partnerships:
Technology Education and Literacy in School (TEALS ). TEALS provides the Computer Science Teacher with curriculum for the introductory course and a pairing with industry volunteers who help with teaching.
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) . PLTW provides a project-based curriculum that includes an AP Computer Science course.
The Computer Science Teacher will also have the opportunity to attend a College Board AP Summer Institute this year for professional development.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes a number of essential responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
Teach up to four high school Computer Science and AP Computer Science classes;
Teach daily lessons from the TEALS and PLTW curriculum resources;
Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
Participate actively in Matchs coaching and professional development programming;
Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for applicants who:
have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;
hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;
believe that all students can and will succeed;
Have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback; have a proven record of student success and achievement; and
demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.
