Accounting and Internal Controls
Oversee the integrity of the financial records of MPGS legal entities
Plan and execute statutory account audits for MPGS legal entities on a timely basis as well as provision of quarterly disclosure information to MasterCard Corporate Group; Maintain strong relationships with external parties (auditors and other third parties involved in the statutory reporting process)
Assist in business results analysis and preparation of the monthly management results package.
Supports the UK Controller’s ORM (Operational Risk Management) initiatives by leading assessments and partnering with the business on evaluating the risks and controls as well as efficiency of business processes outside accounting and financial reporting.
Maintain a strong internal control environment and improve internal controls where necessary to ensure a scalable infrastructure is in place to allow the company to operate and grow effectively while mitigating risk. Ensure continued alignment with MasterCard internal control procedures.
Documentation of financial and business processes throughout the group of companies under scope of responsibility.
Oversee accounting review and documentation of new and non-routine transactions. Lead consultations on technical accounting topics with Regional Controller as well as Corporate as required.
Provide the tax team with statutory accounting data for the filing of tax and VAT/GST returns.
Review and analyze customer/supplier agreements to ensure the accurate allocation of revenue and expenses between the various Gateway/Mastercard subsidiaries in accordance with IP ownership, expense effort and revenue.
Review and manage the implications of all cross border ensuring compliance with local/US GAAP and advising the field where applicable as to actions required.
Assistance to tax teams to prepare quarterly legal entity forecasts.
Billing
Oversee global billing processes across a number of platforms / services.
Drive automation and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and accuracy of billing processes.
People Management
Lead, coach and develop a multi-site team of 5 people, including conducting performance reviews and identifying top talent
Hold regular team meetings and 1:1’s to set priorities, discuss progress and remove roadblocks.
Build team resilience and agility to ensure continuity in the event of staff absence.

All About You
Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Fully ACCA / CIMA qualified
8-10+ years experience with US GAAP and statutory accounting and reporting requirements
Experience with process improvement initiatives
Strong can-do attitude, positive mindset and resilience
Driven, pro-active, enthusiastic and resilient, with a strong can-do attitude
Ability to collaborate effectively with a vast array of stakeholders in a culturally and educationally diverse environment
Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize, organize and delegate work under tight deadlines and carry out multiple related activities
Strong business acumen and communication skills
