The Finance Manager – Architectural Distribution and Components Business will work with the Director of Finance to support segment and plant leadership team to deliver annual operating targets and implement strategic initiatives which will enable the segment to achieve its long-range plan. Specific activities include forecasting/planning, pricing strategy and management, KPI development and tracking, profitability analysis and decision-support, financial controls and other discretionary projects as directed by the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with segment and plant leadership to develop the annual budget for the distribution, components, and specialty product plants, along with quarterly forecast updates and monthly financial risks and opportunities (FR&O)
• Ensure financial support of distribution, components and specialty plant operations and achievement of their short-term financial targets; includes causal of actual performance
• Lead one direct report and continue to build out support for both plant and segment leaders, including increased management reporting
• Work cross-functionally with the segment leadership to drive dynamic and scalable pricing models and profit analysis tools
• Coach team and assist in capital decision support for the segment and plant leadership that will enable the segment to achieve long-range plan
• Excellent skills in prioritizing and planning work activities, developing realistic action plans, time efficiency (balance of analytical and action oriented)
• Learn and become an expert in our Architectural distribution business and component and specialty product offering that drive profitable solutions for both customers and Masonite

Qualifications

• BS in finance/accounting or other quantitative degree, MBA preferred but not required
• 6+ years of business/ finance related experience in a business or FP&A environment
• Ability to discover, own, and drive critical issues to resolution, a sense of urgency and tenacity is required
• Experience leading the development of budgets and forecasts
• Expertise with profit/mix analysis and pricing strategy
• Expertise with large data sets, ability to systematize data and drive significant process rigor and improvements required
• Demonstrated abilities developing management reporting packages and presenting to executive level audiences
• Supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to create and build strong teams
• Ability to consolidate complex data / information into concise communication points, often to leadership
• Must be able to lead, influence, build consensus and work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience in manufacturing preferred
