Mary Lake Montessori Philosophy–Mary Lake Montessori implements a Montessori approach to learning. It is a materials-based curriculum in which children learn through manipulation of various equipment. It is an individual-based program in which children proceed at his/her own pace and interest level. Adults in the room facilitate this learning through careful set-up of the classroom with various materials to encourage self-direction through choice.

4K/Preschool teacher–Montessori training a PLUS. Job duties include but are not limited to classroom assistance including interaction/supervision of children during inside and outside free play time, snack preparation, supervision and clean up, care and maintenance of the premises, parent interaction. Must have an aptitude in working with children, staff and parents alike, dependable, self-starter, patient and not afraid to work hard. Knowledge of state licensing rules, Youngstar rating guidelines including ECRS guidelines. Some work with afterschool children 5-11 years old. 45 hours per week. Monday through Friday. This is a 12 month position. We do require the wearing of masks until the population we work with is eligible and getting the vaccine. We will follow CDC and DHS guidelines for mask wearing.

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Professional Educator License WI (Required)
