The Education Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and providing educational and cognitive development of residents, and appropriate strategies that promote learning outcomes. The Education Specialist is charged with promoting programs in a positive manner to the community, while adhering to the MCC Guiding Principles and Mission. The Education Specialist must work reliably, effectively, efficiently, and with respect for residents, respites, staff, families, volunteers, professional consultants, and the physical environment of the Center.

Minimum Requirements:

• possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education or Special Education (preferred)
• have experience with special needs population
• have supervisory experience and be capable of effectively supervising and training staff , interns and volunteers;
• possess excellent organizational skills and verbal/ written communication skills
• demonstrate proficiency in utilizing technology tools to effectively manage program reporting and achieve department goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year
