Marvin Hiring for Manufacturing Engineer II Full Time

Highlights of Your Role:

Identify, initiate, lead and support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and projects that increase value through improving performance, product and process quality, safety, and cost.

Participating in Lean Manufacturing events including Kaizen improvement events, VSM/line balancing in operations, 5S, ergonomics/safety and work station design.

Work to resolve daily production/quality issues driving to root cause.

Also includes ECN implementation, development of labor routings and corrective actions for product performance.
You’re a Good Fit If You Have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial Preferred)
• 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Additional Technical Training, Vocational School, or Trade School related to the field is a plus
• Experience/learning with Lean Manufacturing including Kaizen improvement events, VSM/line balancing in operations, 5S, ergonomics/safety & work station design, Six Sigma a plus
• Proficient AutoCAD and solid modeling (Inventor a plus)
• Understanding of ISO or other quality operating system as related to manufacturing
• Experience with writing/ maintaining Standard Work Procedures; development of PFMEA and Control Plan; Cost Reduction through process optimization
• Excellent project management skills desired; Experience in writing capital equipment specification and justification and experience with simulation tools & wood processing experience a plus
• The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, organized, creative, and work effectively in a participative environment
